Kite JournalThursday August 1st, 2013It Looks Like Rainwhen ya least expect itAfter just saying in the yesterday's journal that the rains had gone and that the Horvath will probably take a while to show up and how the doldrums had set in... well... what do you know but we suddenly flipped into our regular summer daily rain period. I say regular, but it really hasn't been normal around here weather-wise)for many years now. So the old normal pattern of summer rains in the afternoon have not been normal at all. But it looks like the cycle kicked in and the last afternoon rains brought on my the heat have begun. Yay! So when I arrived home after driving through the biggest monsoon rain around here in quite some time, I was both happy to see that there were two boxes waiting for me and horrified that they were both very wet from the rain. Now yes, i said monsoon but it really was... 3.4 inches of rain in about 90 minutes. And it seemed concentrated along my route home. So no wonder things were wet. It was actually quite an exciting ninety minutes. I do enjoy a good storm. So, the Horvath 130 arrived!!! Thank you Extreme Kites, you guys are great! This kite is very cool. And the Flik showed up too! I will talk about them both very soon, but I have to work on switching over the the new server, so that will have to wait, for now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
